Shetland SheepdogThe Shetland Sheepdog is a sturdy little dog that shows intense loyalty to their family. Easily trained, they respond to positive reinforcement and always try to please their owner. A Sheltie should NOT be shy or timid.
Shelties are double coated (thick undercoat with long topcoat); a thorough weekly grooming will keep the coat looking nice.
The Sheltie needs exercise: loves to run/jog with owners, loves hiking but is also content to be a house dog lying at your feet!
Weight: 22 lbs; height 13 – 16”.
The Shelties have an active group of fanciers in Calgary.
