Great Pyrenees

 

Great Pyrenees image The Pyr guarded fortresses and worked alone to protect sheep. The Great Pyrenees, (also known as the Pyrenean Mountain Dog) is from the Pyrenees Mountains, which lie between France and Spain. The Great Pyrenees stands 32”at the shoulder and weighs at least100 pounds.  He has a double coat in white. Needs daily brushing. He is essentially an outdoor dog, bred to work independantly.
