Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Newfoundlands surviving a ship wreck on the coast of Maryland, were mated with local dogs to produce this powerful swimming dog. The Chesapeake Bay Retriever has a distinctive coat; the colors of dead grass to a very dark chocolate brown. This dog enjoys life both in a country setting and the city as well.
