From the identical stock as the English Cocker, but since its arrival in the USA, this cocker has changed enough to become a new breed. He stands 15 inches at the shoulder, has a luxurious coat and is a popular house dog who requires some brushing. The American Cocker Spaniel needs moderate exercise.
