Affenpinscher

Originating in Germany, the name Affenpinscher means 'monkey-like terrier'. The breed was developed to rid kitchens, granaries and stables of rodents.
The Affenpinscher is a dog with stamina, agility and great courage. He has a big dog in a small body mentality. He is unusually intelligent and quick to learn.
This little terrier is a likeable and lively companion.
He is sturdy and compact, standing 11 inches at the shoulder and weighing under 9 pounds.
